It wouldn’t be summer in Stamford without the annual Alive @ 5 concert series. Featuring live music from national and regional groups this Thursday night event in Columbus Park is the perfect way to kick off the weekend and just a short walk from any of our Stamford properties. For all the foodies, don’t miss Stamford Restaurant Week with over 20 Downtown restaurants participating or the Hey Stamford Food Festival at Mill River Park with great food, craft beer, and live entertainment.
Downtown Stamford’s Art Shapes Exhibit features 39 unique geometric sculptures for free public viewing throughout the summer. RMS Companies proudly sponsored Geo-Met-TRICK by sculptor James Scinto located outside of Hotel Zero Degrees Stamford.
Warm weather and outdoor sports go hand in hand and there are some great athletic events coming to New Haven this summer. In early August attend Hoop It Up, a national three versus three basketball tournament; watch the best players in the area hoop it up in front of City Hall. In late August, the notable Connecticut Open, part of the US Open Tennis series, comes to town for world class tennis showdowns.
Pack a picnic and check out Friday Flicks screening free movies in outdoor venues throughout the city it’s a great family night out.
Nothing beats fresh and local food on a hot summer day! Every Friday from July 1st to October 28th head to the Hill for the Farmer’s Market featuring delicious and healthy treats from all over the state!
Summer is the quintessential time for festivals and Danbury offers a variety of events for music and food enthusiasts alike! On August 5th enjoy the Country Music ‘N Food Truck Rally a fun filled event with delicious food trucks and country music to compliment! The Bacon and Brew Fest comes to town on August 26th with bacon-inspired recipes and craft beer. The annual Danbury Concerts at the Green Friday night concert series will feature bands covering legends from Frankie Vallie to the Grateful Dead!
Baseball is America’s past time, and there is no better time to enjoy it then a beautiful summer night. On August 1st grab the kids and watch the local Danbury Westerners take on the Newport Gulls!
Every Sunday attendees flock to the Elephant Trunk Flea Market to preview antiques and treasure hunt at this not to be missed New England tradition!
